摘要： A torch particularly for use in hazardous conditions has safety and battery power warning features.
The supply from a power source (34) to a light source (12) includes a frangible conductive element (132) in the conductive path to the light source (12). The conductive element (132) is provided on a torch glass (128), so that if the glass (128) breaks, the power supply to lamp (12) will be cut off, thereby eleminating the risk of sparks, and exposure of the hot lamp element to atmosphere.
The torch also has a switch (22) and relays (38, 40) enabling batteries of the power source (34) to be switched between series and parallel arrays, enabling the torch to operate at full or low power.
The torch also has a battery voltage sensing and indicating means, which cause light source (12) to flash when battery voltage reaches a first predetermined level, and for the light source (12) to be switched off permanently when battery voltage reaches a second predetermined level.

摘要： A dispensing machine (100) is divided into three compartments (110, 112, 114). An animal-like figure comprising the body and head of an elephant (118) is located in compartment (112) and the head (118) can be rotated on the body by drive means (134) in the upper compartment (114). A number of non-prize containing packages (130) are provided in the compartment (112) and prize-containing packages are located in the upper compartment (114). In operation upon insertion of coins into the coin mechanism (154) the drive means (134) is operated and causes the head (118) to turn through 360° passing through the non-prize containing packages (130). Upon each cycle one prize-containing package from the upper compartment (114) is released from the upper compartment and passes into the passage (122) in the head (118). The prize-containing package is discharged from the trunk of the head through opened bottomed bucket (128) into a prize-receiving receptacle (166).
