摘要： PURPOSE: To ensure a long life gun barrel excellent in heat resistance, burning/ corrosion resistance, and wear resistance by fitting a ceramics liner to an inner surface of a cylindrical outer cylinder composed of gun barrel steel, and coupling the outer cylinder and the liner in a united manner. CONSTITUTION: A gun barrel 1 comprises an outer cylinder 2 and a liner 3, and the outer cylinder 2 comprises gun barrel steel. The liner 3 is a ceramics one where an outer surface 3a is fitted to an inner surface 2 of the outer surface, which has a length equal to the outer cylinder 2 and is pressure inserted into the outer cylinder 2 with shrink fitting and is fixed in a united manner. Once propellant is combusted, although an inner surface of the gun barrel 1 is wholly exposed to high temperature high pressure corrosive gas, ceramics is very high in heat resistance and corrosion resistance, so that melting and exfoliation are prevented from happening in an inner surface of the gun barrel 1. Further, since the ceramics is small in a friction coefficient, so that the inner surface of the gun barrel 1 is also excellent in wear resistance.

The moment a resin wad reaches the additional barrel 1, a combustion high pressure gas of powder flows intensely through a gas introduction port 1b and the spiral groove 1a and discharged through a gap between the lock nut 2 and the additional barrel 1 to rotate the additional barrel 1. Thus, a shell head or the like travels being twisted to generate a gyro effect of the shell head thereby improving a striking force and hitting accuracy.

摘要： PURPOSE:To raise the accuracy of a hit by mounting in a shotgun body a rifled gun barrel so that the gun barrel can rotate freely during passage of a warhead. CONSTITUTION:A gun barrel 1 which is rifled on its bore is mounted on a shot gun body with supported condition by a bearing 3 and with held condition by a bearing holder 2. As the bearing 3 supports the gun barrel 1, a slug bullet 10 and a resin made piston wad 9 which continue to execute a strong and straight forward movement with sliding along a spiral groove 1a of the rifled gun barrel go straight on and at the same time twist the gun barrel 1 in the opposite direction against a rotation direction of a spiral rifle groove 1a. As the warhead, which has been propelled strongly in the gun body owing to combustion pressure of gunpowder, executes strongly a straight and linear movement with its sliding in the rifled gun barrel 1, the gun barrel 1 is twisted strongly in the opposite direction against a rotation direction of a spiral groove of rifle. As the twisted gun barrel 1 is supported by the bearing 3, the twisted gun barrel 1 continues rotation during passage of the warhead in it. The gun barrel 1 that continues rotation discharges the warhead with continuous twisting of it. By this, rising of accuracy of a hit can be realized.
