    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a link device in which a crank shaft is coupled with reciprocating motions through a connecting rod capable of improving the performance and effects of various devices by changing the rotating locus of a crank pin from a conventional circular shape to an elliptical shape.
      SOLUTION: A turntable is rotatably borne by a stationary shaft fixed to the rotational center, and in its conventional crank pin position, a rotary shaft fitted rotatably is installed. The rotary shaft is furnished with a connecting rod mounting part which is formed on an eccentric shaft portion arranged eccentric for a few to 10% of the radius from the turntable center to connect a connection rod. A gear is fixed to the rotary shaft and is meshed with a gear fixed concentrically to the stationary shaft, wherein the gear ratio is 1:2, i.e., the rotary shaft rotates two turns while the turntable makes one turn. Setting is made so that when the rotary shaft is positioned near the upper or the lower dead center, the eccentric shaft portion lies inside/outside of the rotational axis according to the application. The turntable is coupled with the output shaft or the input shaft directly or through gears, chain, etc. The described constitution allows development of a link device for producing an elliptical rotational locus.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve output, and to reduce rolling movement, in an internal combustion engine in which a piston 2 in a cylinder bore 3 is coupled to a crank pin 7 provided on a crank arm 8 through a connecting rod 6, the pin shaft 9 is provided eccentrically from the crank pin and rotatably supported by an output shaft 5 so as to be eccentric from the output shaft, and a planetary gear 12 non-rotatably fitted to the pin shaft is meshed with an internally toothed gear mounted coaxially with the output shaft.
      SOLUTION: When viewed in the direction of the axis of the output shaft, the axis 3a of the cylinder bore is offset relative to a reciprocating track straight line 14 connecting an upper dead center TDC and a lower dead center BDC on the crank pin 7 by passing through the center O of the output shaft, by an appropriate distance S to the side opposite to a direction A in which the planetary gear rotates.
