    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the process while operating the whole device rapidly by adjusting the velocity of a motor by a suction/unloading step, an opening molding step and a remaining step. SOLUTION: Planetary pulleys 5, 5' are equipped with a variable speed motor such as a servo motor 50 as a power source for driving the pulleys at a revolving velocity. The revolving velocity is relatively reduced temporarily during sucking and unloading cartons. Thus the follow-up of cartons is compensated for by relatively delaying the motion of suction heads 13, 13'. When the suction heads 13, 13' are in a position for molding an opening, the servo motor 50 need not be set at a low velocity as it is in a suction/unloading step but is rather continuously set in a constant velocity so that the motor 50 is synchronized with the motion of a carton spacer 36. The delay in a cycle to be generated by a low velocity operation in the suction/unloading step can be easily compensated for by setting the revolving velocity at a high level when the suction heads 13, 13' are in a position other than the suction/unloading position and the opening molding position.
