摘要： PURPOSE:To heighten discharge starting voltage by circulating sealed hydrogen gas of a thyratron while supplementing a consumed portion and cooling it. CONSTITUTION:A gas circulator 40 and a heat exchanger 80 are serially connected to a thyratron proper 101 while a hydrogen gas feeder 60 is connected in parallel with the heat exchanger 80. When using the thyratron discharge, for instance, for a switching element of a laser power supply device of a large output, the high discharge starting voltage is required. The lower the sealed hydrogen pressure is, the higher the discharge starting voltage is, so that the sealed hydrogen gas is cooled by the heat exchanger 80 for obtaining the assigned pressure while finely regulating the pressure of hydrogen gas to be supplemented by using, for instance, a paradium pipe in the feeder 60 for being pressure-circulated by a circulator 40. Thereby, the temperature of hydrogen gas inside the tube can be held low thus maintaining charge starting voltage of the thyratron.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the neck of a typical PAR lamp tends to focus light issued in the neck or heel of the lamp back onto a lamp sealing part, and in that case, the sealing part is heated by the focused lost light to reduce the service life of the lamp.
SOLUTION: The lost light is intercepted with a light absorbing layer. The light is converted into heat in the layer. The heat is then directly re-radiated in an unfocused fashion with only a small portion of it redirected to the sealing part area. The interception layer is formed as a black top coating on the neck interior or the neck exterior if other parts of a reflector is light-transmissive.
