    • A fuse 1 includes a pair of terminals 2, housing 4 and fusible body 5. The terminals 2 are provided so that their one ends are housed in the housing 4 and their other ends are exposed externally from the housing 4. The terminals 2 each has a recess to enlarge the interval therebetween. The recess 6 consists of a flat face 10 and step face 11. The housing 4 includes a pair of end walls 12a, 12b, and a pair of partition walls 22. The inner faces 15a, 15b of the pair of end walls 12a, 12b are opposite to each other in a direction orthogonal to the direction the pair of terminals are arranged in parallel and extend along the end faces of the terminals 2. The partition wall extend from the inner face 15b toward the inner face 15a. The second partition walls each covers the flat face 10. In this configuration, when the power with a current value which exceeds the fusing current value of the fusible body is supplied, supply of the power to the load can be surely stopped.

    • A safety device of an electric circuit is provided, in which a thermal fuse securely prevents an accident from occurring when an overcurrent protector is extraordinarily overheated. The safety device includes: first protective means in an overcurrent protector for protecting the electric circuit from an overcurrent, which generates heat to increase its electrical resistance when an overcurrent flows in the electric circuit, whereby reducing or cutting off the overcurrent; and second protective means including a thermal fuse situated in the vicinity of the overcurrent protector containing: a first electrode having a first conductor pattern connected to the overcurrent protector; a second electrode having a second conductor pattern insulated from the first electrode by a gap; and solder connecting the first and second electrodes and melting by heat from the overcurrent protector so as to split into two parts toward the first and second electrodes. According to the safety device, the thermal fuse can quickly operate when the overcurrent protector is extraordinarily overheated and be easily formed by employing an automatic soldering machine and the like.

    • A dual element fuse includes a first conductive fuse coupler portion and an overload fusing assembly coupled to the first conductive fuse coupler portion. The overload fusing assembly includes a barrel having a flange at one end thereof, a trigger received within said barrel and positioned in a pre-operated position by a fusing alloy, and a conductive coil surrounding the barrel predominately in an area adjacent the flange. The conductive coil is connected between the first conductive fuse coupler portion and the flange, thereby concentrating heat generated in the conductive coil toward the flange.
