    • A control device which can be adapted to a power shovel which has a first boom and a second boom and of which the arm turns around the axis in the lengthwise direction thereof. In this device, attitude angles of the first boom, the second boom and the arm are detected, and the angle of the arm is determined relative to a horizontal plane based upon the above attitude angles. An arm cylinder is so controlled that the angle of the arm relative to the horizontal plane is maintained at a desired angle. The angle of rotation of the arm and a turning angle of an upper turning member around the axis in the lengthwise direction are detected, and a deviating angle of the blade direction of a bucket is determined relative to the initial direction of the blade based upon the above angle of rotation of the arm and the turning angle of the turning member. The angle of rotation of the arm is so controlled as to offset the deviating angle. Further, the turning speed of the upper turning member is detected, and the arm is rotated at this rotating speed in a direction opposite to that of the upper turning member. Moreover, attitude angles of the first boom and the second boom are detected, and a direction of moving of the coupling point between the second boom and the arm is specified on a coordinate surface that includes the first boom, the second boom and the arm. Based upon the attitude angles and the direction of moving, the first boom cylinder and the second boom cylinder are so controlled that the coupling point moves in the specified direction.

    • A working machine which is intended for demolishing and excavating work etc. comprises a chassis (10), an upper part (12) carried by said chassis and arranged for rotational movement relative thereto about a vertical axis, and an arm arrangement carried by the upper part and including a jib structure (18, 19) which is directly connected at one end thereof to the upper part and the other end of which carries, via an intermediate arm (20), a fitting (21, 34, 35) for a tool (22), such as an excavator bucket, a chiseling device or like tool. The jib structure and the intermediate arm are connected to the upper part and to each other respectively via pivots (23, 32) and can be pivoted in a vertical plane by means of first and second pressure piston-cylinder devices (26, 33) active between the upper part and the jib structure and between the jib structure and the intermediate arm respectively. The jib structure is divided into a first, short jib section (18) which is pivotally connected to the upper part (12), and a second, longer jib section (9) which is pivotally connected to the first jib section. The first jib section (18) is connected to the first pressure cylinder device (26), while the second jib section (19) is connected to the second pressure cylinder device (33). Further, the jib sections (18, 19) can be pivoted relative to one another in the vertical plane by means of a further pressure cylinder device (31) acting between the jib sections; whereat one of said first-and the further pressure cylinder devices (26, 31) can only be driven together with the other; and whereat the arrangement of the first and the further pressure cylinder devices is such that when they operate simultaneously they swing the jib sections (18, 19) at the same angular speed in opposite directions.
