摘要： The invention concerns a method of forming a fabric of interlaced yarn by arranging on a surface a plurality of yarn guide blocks, each guide block adapted to guide yarn from a yarn source to the surface and wherein the relative motion of the yarn guide blocks and surface serves to deposit yarn from the guides onto the surface in such a way that when said yarns are deposited on a surface, the diagonal positions of the yarns from one block are offset from a direct overlapping alignment with the yarns from the remaining blocks to thereby densely cover the surface during repeated cycles of such motion.

摘要： A wear resistant stitchbonded fabric is provided. The stitchbonded fabric includes a first yarn loosely stitchbonded into the substrate so as to substantially cover one side of the substrate. The fabric further includes a second yarn that is tightly stitchbonded into the substrate. In one embodiment, the nonwoven substrate can further contain binder fibers which are fused to adjacent fibers. Through this configuration, a fabric is produced having a tapestry-like look. The fabric can be used in many diverse applications, such as being used as an upholstery fabric.

摘要： This invention is directed to a flexible penetration resistant stabilized composite, that includes an interlaced yarn structure of yarns having a tenacity of at least 8 g/d, a tensile modulus of at least 150 g/d and an energy to break of at least 10 j/g. The yarn structure includes yarn subgroups alternately stacked together. There is also provided a polymeric web coextensive with, in contact with, and bound to the surface of one of the subgroups that at least partially contacts and is bound to the yarns in all the subgroups in the stack to thereby contain the subgroups in the stack in an interlaced yarn structure.

摘要： The invention concerns a stretcher comprising a carriage (21) subjected to a back-and-forward motion (2) for depositing in successive segments (2a . . . 2d) a web of fibres (2) on an outgoing conveyor (6) moving along a direction (9). In order to produce ranges of different plies in the transverse profile of the lap (4) formed on the outgoing conveyor (6) by the web deposited in mutually overlapping segments, the points of inversion of direction (21) in the backward and forward motion of the carriage are different. As a result the successive folds (2ab, 2cd; 2bc, 2da) of the same direction are differently positioned, and the number of web plies in the lap is not the same over the whole width of the lap. The invention is useful for streamlining the lap freely and accurately.
