摘要： A fail-safe circuit is disclosed for use with an intermittently operated d.c. motor (10) connected by means of a circuit breaker (14) to a power supply (12), wherein a control circuit (21) provides control pulses intermittently to the motor. The fail-safe circuit includes a capacitor (38) which is charged when the drive pulses are being applied to said motor, and is discharged when the drive pulses are not being applied to said motor. A reference voltage (34G) is generated and compared with the voltage stored on said capacitor. When the voltage on the capacitor exceeds the reference voltage, the circuit breaker is caused to interrupt the power supply to the motor.

摘要： A D.C. motor control circuit having a speed reference potentiometer connected to the base of a transistor such that as the base of the transistor becomes more positive, the collector of the transistor becomes more negative thereby accomplishing phase inversion, the collector of the transistor is connected to a programmable unijunction transistor via a first diode and a first resistor such that as the collector of the transistor becomes lower in potential the gate of the programmable unijunction will in a like manner become lower in potential thereby causing the programmable unijunction transistor to turn on earlier in the cycle, the output pulse of the programmable unijunction transistor will therefore be advanced in phase, the cathode of the programmable unijunction transistor being connected to the gates of a plurality of silicon controlled rectifiers via second and third resistors such that as the programmable unijunction transistor is turned on the silicon controlled rectifiers will fire respectively in each alternate half-cycle resulting in a higher voltage being applied to the armature of the motor being controlled, the armature being connected to the silicon controlled rectifiers, a feedback signal current is taken from the negative terminal of the armature of the motor and the signal current is fed via a fourth resistor to the base of the transistor thereby generating a feedback current, the armature voltage will continue to increase until the feedback current equals the reference current generated by the speed reference potentiometer, the speed potentiometer signal is also fed to the base of the transistor, thereby effecting stable voltage regulation of the motor being controlled.

摘要： A speed control device for a sewing machine having a drive motor, includes a foot controller with a variable resister and a depressable operating plate; depending upon the extent to which the plate is depressed the variable resister provides a variable resistance value for the motor. The controller also has manually operable push buttons each sewing to selectively connect one of several different fixed-value resistors in circuit with the drive motor. A changeover switch connects the variable resistor into the motor circuit when the plate is depressed and disconnects the variable resister from the circuit while connecting the fixed resistors into the circuit, when the plate is not depressed.
