The switching modes are a complementary switching mode and a non-complementary switching mode of an upper switch (110) and a lower switch (120) of a first half-bridge converter (100) configured to provide a wanted power to a load (10). The processor device is configured to provide a first upper control signal (115) to the upper switch (110) and a first lower control signal (125) to the lower switch (120) as center aligned PWM-signals at a first PWM period. Responsive to determining that a current switching mode is to be changed at a second PWM period, the processor device is further configured to determine a time-shift for shifting the first upper control signal (115) and the first lower control signal (125), and to provide the first upper control signal (115) shifted by the time-shift to the upper switch (110) and the first lower control signal (125) shifted by the time-shift to the lower switch (120) at the second PWM period.

Le contrôleur principal effectue une régulation d'une grandeur de sortie du convertisseur en envoyant des ordres de commande aux contrôleurs élémentaires, la régulation étant effectuée en fonction d'ensembles de grandeur(s) élémentaire(s) associés chacun à un module de conversion respectif.

摘要： Embodiments herein relate to controlling one or more voltage regulators (VRs) to avoid excessive degradation when a VR increases it current output to supply a hot spot in a compute domain. In one approach, a group of VRs supply current to the domain and each VR's load is monitored to detect an increase in current. A digital controller can reduce the target voltage and/or switching frequency for a VR experiencing an increase in current to equalize the current outputs among the VRs, within a tolerance. In another aspect, a double control loop is used to control a VR. An inner control loop regulates the output of the VR relative to a target voltage and an outer control loop detects the load and adjusts the target voltage and/or switching frequency to avoid excessive degradation.
