    • In some examples, a plurality of client processes may be configured to access system resources based on receiving locks. For instance, a first client process may send, to a lock server process, a request for a lock for a resource. The lock server process may send, to the first client process, an indication that the lock for the resource is provided to the first client process. Furthermore, the lock server process may send, to a second client process, information related to the lock and the first client process to enable the second client process to send, to the first client process, a request for the first client process to update the resource. Thus, in this example, the second client process is able to update the locked resource while the first client process holds the lock for the resource.
