    • A water filter assembly (22) mounted to an inner surface of a refrigerator (20) and accessible from within a refrigeration compartment of the refrigerator. The filter assembly (22) includes a first housing part (44), a second housing part (46), and a replaceable filter cartridge (42). The first and second housing parts cooperate to define a fluid-tight chamber for receipt of the filter cartridge (42). The first housing part includes an inlet port (56) through which unfiltered water may be introduced into the chamber and an outlet port (54) through which filtered water may exit the chamber. The second housing part surrounds a portion of the first housing part and provides a volume sufficient to hold the filter cartridge and any water within the chamber when the second housing part is released from the first housing part to replace the filter cartridge, and thereby prevents or minimizes spillage of water from the filter assembly during filter cartridge replacement. A shield member (38) is disposed within the refrigeration compartment and cooperates with a cabinet wall to define a filter compartment (39) which surrounds the filter assembly (22). A heater (41) disposed within the filter compartment (39) adjacent the filter assembly (22) and is operable to heat the filter assembly to prevent freezing of water contained therein.

    • A refrigerator having a water filtration and dispensing system including a first control valve for unfiltered water, a household water supply line for fluidly connecting the first control valve to a source of household water, a water filter assembly disposed within a refrigeration compartment, an unfiltered water supply line fluidly connecting the first control valve to the water filter assembly, a second control valve having first and second outlets, a filtered water supply line fluidly connecting the filter assembly to the second control valve, a filtered water dispenser fluidly connected to the first outlet of second control valve, and an ice maker disposed within a freezer compartment and fluidly connected to the second outlet of the second control valve. The system also includes a water dispenser switch for opening the first and second control valves to permit unfiltered water to flow into the water filter assembly and to permit filtered water to flow out of the water dispenser, and an ice maker switch connected for opening the first and second control valves to permit unfiltered water to flow into the water filter assembly and to permit filtered water to flow into the ice maker. A pressure-relief switch connects the water dispenser switch and the first control valve so that the first control valve can be selectively disconnected. With the first control valve disconnected, the water dispenser switch only opens the second control valve to thereby prevent unfiltered water from flowing into the water filter assembly and permit filtered water to flow out of the water dispenser. The system is thereby relieved or bled of water pressure prior to replacing the filter cartridge.

The housing (70) has two interior walls (78, 80) having openings (98, 100) therein which divide an interior space of the housing (70) into top, center, and bottom chambers (82, 84, 86).     • A gasoline engine driven flexible line trimmer is provided with a modularly constructed power head section which significantly facilitates the original manufacturing assembly, and subsequent service disassembly, of the power head. In a clutch drive embodiment thereof, the power head has four readily separable modules - an engine module comprising a main engine shroud to which the engine is internally secured; a fan housing module; a starter module comprising a starter housing and a recoil starter mechanism retained therein; and a coupling module comprising a clutch housing carrying therein structure for operatively interconnecting the engine's clutch to the flexible drive shaft disposed within the trimmer shaft. In a direct drive version thereof, the power head has two separable modules - the engine module and a combined fan housing, starter and coupling module defined by a single housing within which the starter and coupling structure is carried. The main shroud is provided with a specially designed wall section which supports the engine, defines a closure wall of its crankcase, forms an air-fuel mixture passage for a carburetor externally supported on the wall section and supports a reed valve within the crankcase. The shroud defines an external protective recess in which the carburetor is positioned and, in one embodiment, defines a portion of the engine's fuel tank. Pull rope installation in the starter mechanism is facilitated and made safer by pulley locking and retaining structure incorporated in the starter module, and improved air filter element sealing is provided by virtue of a specially designed air filter housing and choke plate assembly associated with the carburetor. Shaft vibration transmitted to the trimmer user through the supporting shoulder strap structure is significantly reduced by a specially designed resilient strap connector assembly securable to the trimmer shaft.
