摘要： A precoated steel sheet and a process for production thereof is provided which comprises coating a resin composition comprising mainly an acryloxyloxy- or methacryloyloxy-terminated polyester on the surface of a steel sheet, said acryloyloxy- or methacryloyloxy-terminated polyester being prepared by reacting a hydroxy-terminated polyester comprising (a) a dicarboxylic acid unit containing about 10 to about 80 mol % of a terephthalic acid unit and (b) dihydric alcohol unit containing about 30 mol % or more of a dihydric alcohol unit containing 3 or more carbon atoms, and having a number average molecular weight of about 400 to about 5,000, with acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, and curing the thus-coated resin composition by irradiating the sheet with an electron beam.

摘要： A coated steel plate suitable for bonding with a polyamide adhesive comprising a steel plate having coated thereon (a) a composition comprising a thermosetting phenol resin and a bisphenol A type epoxy resin, the thermosetting phenol resin comprising the condensation product obtained on reacting under refluxing a phenol and formaldehyde in less than one mol per equivalent of the phenolic hydroxyl group in the presence of an alkali catalyst; (b) a composition comprising a thermosetting phenol resin and a bisphenol A type epoxy resin, the thermosetting phenol resin comprising the condensation product obtained by washing with water the condensation product obtained by reacting under refluxing a phenol and formaldehyde in less than one mol per equivalent of the phenolic hydroxyl group in the presence of an alkali catalyst and then heating the condensation product to temperatures above about 60 DEG C; (c) a composition comprising a thermosetting phenol resin and a bisphenol A type epoxy resin, the thermosetting phenol resin comprising the condensation product obtained by washing with water a condensation product obtained by reacting a phenol and formaldehyde in an amount more than about one mol per equivalent of the phenolic hydroxyl group under refluxing in the presence of an alkali catalyst and, then, further heating the condensation product to a temperature higher than about 60 DEG C with the addition of a phenol in an amount such that the total amount of the phenolic hydroxyl group is greater than one equivalent per mol of formaldehyde; or (d) mixtures thereof.

摘要： Crude 1,12-dodecanedioic acid obtained by oxidation of cyclododecanol and/or cyclododecanone by nitric acid is purified by dissolving the crude 1,12-dodecanedioic acid in an aqueous nitric acid solution containing 40 to 80 percent by weight of nitric acid at 85 DEG -105 DEG C, passing the resulting solution through a filter aid diatomaceous earth having particle sizes of 1-100 microns, cooling the resulting filtrate to 40 DEG -90 DEG C thereby to crystallize 1,12-dodecanedioic acid. The thus purified 1,12-dodecanedioic acid has a good purity and a less susceptibility of discoloration appearing when dissolved in an alkali.

摘要： A curable composition comprising: (A) at least one spiro-orthoester compound having at least one spiro-orthoester group represented by the formula: [I] [I] wherein n is an integer of 3-5, (B) at least one curing agent selected from the group consisting of organic polybasic acids and their anhydrides, (C) optionally, an epoxy compound having at least one epoxy group, and (D) optionally a cationic polymerization catalyst when the composition comprises ingredient (C). Said composition is small in shrinkage on curing, and provides a cured product of high dimensional accuracy when used as a molding material.
