A trochoid gear-pump 50 has fixed to the nozzle shaft 31 an external gear 56 which engages with an internal gear 57 to produce a flow of a fluid in a closed circuit. This provides a resistance to the rotation of the nozzles and an adjustable valve in the closed circuit enables the speed of rotation to be controlled. A fluid-storage chamber is provided to make up any changes in the amount of fluid in the closed circuit.
