    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-shell mold with which in a lost-wax casting method, regardless of a type of a columnar crystal structure directional solidification, a single-crystal structure directional solidification or an equiaxial solidification in this method can be used.
      SOLUTION: This single-shell mold is manufactured by passing through the following operations, that is; an operation for forming a contacting layer, by which sand grains are deposited on a layer by dipping into first slip containing ceramic grains and binder, and the contacting layer is dried; an operation for forming an intermediate layer, by which the sand grains are deposited on the intermediate layer by dipping into second slip containing the ceramic grains and the binder, and the above intermediate layer is dried; and a reinforcing layer forming operation for repeating until the shell mold having a prescribed thickness is obtained, by which the reinforcing layer is formed by dipping into at least third slip containing the ceramic grains and the binder, and the sand grains are deposited on the layer, are performed. The ceramic grains in the slip, contain fire-resistant oxide or non-zircon fire-resistant oxide, and especially not at all contain a zircon in any layer.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel fastener system using pins having collars for reducing conventional defects and preventing the rotation of the pins, the collars being formed not to thrust components to be assembled together. SOLUTION: The fastener system is provided for fastening at least two components together. One component 2 includes at least one flange using the plurality of pins 5 having the collars 8 of non-circular contour for thrusting the other component at its surface. The collars are received by grooves 10 formed in a thrust face 2a of one component 2. The pins 5 are prevented from rotating by abutting portions on a wall. In the fastener system, the contour of each intermediate collar 8 includes two substantially opposed flat faces 16, 17 for serving as mutually abutting portions on the two adjacent intermediate collars.
