摘要： A suction cleaner power nozzle adapted to be mounted on the end of a cleaning wand has a rotating cleaning brush driven by an electric motor connected by a belt to the center of the brush to provide uniform forces on the brush end support bearings. A three-section plate forms the nozzle housing closure and base. One section of the plate covers the motor compartment and a second section of the plate covers the brush adjustment means. Each of these plates is held in place by a simple removable screw. A third section of the plate covers the suction duct and brush suction chamber and is removably mounted on the housing by spring biased clips to provide easy access to the suction duct and chamber. A pair of front nozzle wheels are rotatably journaled on the ends of a lever which is pivotally mounted on the housing. A threaded manually operated screw is operatively engaged with the lever to obtain numerous adjustment positions of the brush and suction chamber with respect to a surface being cleaned. The nozzle is connected to the wand of a suction cleaner by a swivel connection. The swivel connection has a pair of trunnions which are pivotally mounted in a pair of sockets by low friction bushings. A fabric sealing liner is placed between the swivel connection and the nozzle housing to decrease the sliding friction and to improve the air seal therebetween.

The cleaning head selectively holds a cleaning pad (70, 70null) for collecting dust and debris from a surface to be cleaned. A suction nozzle (18, 338, 408, 518) is carried by the cleaning head. A dirt collecting receptacle (208, 336, 410) is mounted to the housing and is in fluid communication with the suction nozzle and a suction fan and motor assembly (30). At least one spray nozzle (22, 24, 332, 406, 560) is disposed on one of the suction nozzle and the cleaning head. A liquid delivery system (90) delivers a cleaning fluid to the at least one spray nozzle. At least a portion of the liquid delivery system is mounted on the handle assembly.

摘要： A vacuum cleaning system for a vehicle includes a console (12), which may be centrally positioned between the front seats (16) of the vehicle. A canister (10), in the form of a drawer to the console, is selectively removed, when vacuuming is to be commenced, and a flexible hose (96) unclamped from a side compartment (112) of the canister. The canister, with the hose attached, is carried by a handle strap (58) to a part of the car to be cleaned. A motor fan assembly (70) within the canister is powered from the vehicle's battery by means of a power cord (84) to draw dirt into a dirt cup (90) in the canister. Entrained air passes from the dirt cup through a filter (94) and is directed by the fan to an exhaust outlet (82) in the canister.
