    • In the method, a joint pin (10) is fastened in a removable manner to a first structural member (100), such as a shovel or the supporting part of a shovel in loading, mucking or excavating equipment. The structural member is provided with a conical recess (102) and a threaded fastening hole (104) at the bottom of the recess. The joint pin is provided with a conical fixing piece (14) that matches the recess, and a hole (12) extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the joint pin. The fixing piece is fitted in the recess of the first structural member and is fastened in its place by a fastening screw (20), wherein the fixing piece is pressed tightly into the recess.     • In a method, a lifting claw is connected to the lifting arm of a lifting device to be turnable around a first rotation axis. The lifting device comprises at least one lifting arm (18a, 18b) with a turnable lifting claw (20) for supporting a piece to be lifted.     • The invention relates to bale tongs comprised of a mounting member (10) for coupling to a working machine and of grabbers (12a and 12b) for gripping a bale as well as of a cutting structure (19) for cutting the tying material of the bale. It also has spike-like gripping members (14a and 14b). These gripping members move from their idle position to an extreme position and back. In their extreme position, the gripping members have penetrated the bale held by the tongs and the tying material of the bale with the result that a part of the tying material is left between the gripping member and the grabber. When the gripping members retract from the extreme position to the idle position, the tying material of the bale left between the gripping member and the grabber is released. A cutting structure is fixed to the mounting member of the bale tongs, between the grabbers. This cutting structure cuts the bale held by the grabbers and the tying material thereof. The bale held by the grabbers is unpacked by moving the gripping members from the idle position towards the extreme position to make them penetrate into the bale and the tying material thereof. The bale and the tying material are cut by the cutting structure. The cutting is continued until the baled material starts to disintegrate. After the bale has become empty, the tying material is left hanging from the grabbers and the gripping members. The tying material is removed from the bale tongs by retracting the gripping members from the extreme position to the idle position, thus causing the tying material to drop down. Due to the invention, the tying material and the contents of the bale can easily be separated and discharged at their own places.

    • The invention relates a method of welding together structures, consisting of sheet-like components such as bottom plates (100) and side plates (102) of casing-like structures, which are to be welded to the bottom plates. In the invention, the bottom plate and the side plates to be welded to the bottom plates are fixed, for the welding, to a separate welding jig that is made for this purpose and that is rotatable about a longitudinal rotational axis. The sheet-like components are fixed to the welding jig in such a way that their common center-of-gravity axis lies as close to the rotational axis of the welding jig as possible. Preferably, the sheet-like components are disposed substantially symmetrically relative to the rotational axis of the welding jig. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least two bottom plates and side plates to be welded to these bottom plates are fixed to the welding jig at a time.
