摘要： A manually operated device is disclosed which is suitable for the controlled dispensing of portions of paper, to be used as towels, from a continuous roll (10) mounted inside the device. For safety purposes, the cutting blade (4), which acts on the paper strip in a radial direction from outside towards the inside of a dragging roller (2) by entering a longitudinal slot (21) thereof, is mounted on a cutting assembly by means of a pivoted and laterally driven fork (5), means being provided suitable to retain said blade (4) in a rest position during the introduction of the paper from a new feed roll (10). The driving member (8) of the cutting assembly is pivoted on a lateral wall of the paper dragging roller (2) and, during the rotation of said roller (2), normally engages a side arm (6) of the cutting assembly through an extension (11).

摘要： An automatic dispenser for paper towels shaped in strips of an appropriate length severable from a continuous feed roll, outputs a portion of paper of an appropriate length cutting it with a stationary blade. The blade is located in a less accessible area of the apparatus for user safety reasons. Dispensing is usually controlled by a photoelectric cell or proximity detector, which actuates an ON-OFF switch for supplying power to a motor during a time period predetermined by a timer, thereby causing rotation of a dragging roller adapted to cause a certain extent of unrolling of the feed roll. In case of saturation of the photoelectric cell caused by improperly keeping it intercepted, an electronic switch disables the photo cell and enables an emergency push-button while also lighting a signal lamp to advise of a change in the operating condition, which requires a push of an emergency button.

Thanks to this structure, the device can use both rolls with cylindrical core (full or broken) and coreless rolls, it performs automatically the replacement of the finished roll with the spare roll and the roll in use is consumed completely even in case the spare roll is restored prior to the exhaustion of the paper.
