    • The present invention relates to an airbag expansion gas generator for use in expanding by means of combustion gas an airbag such as an airbag for a collision safety device, a lifesaving bag, a rubber boat and an escape chute, and aims at drastically simplifying the construction of a generator when compared with conventional ones and facilitating a reduction in the size of a generator. In the present invention, combustion gas produced by virtue of the combustion of a gas generating agent (43) is caused to flow out directly into an airbag from a gas outlet port (61) formed in an outer circumferential wall (45) of a combustion chamber (41) after it passes through a gas filtration filter (67) disposed inside the outer circumferential wall (45). Then, when it passes through the gas filtration filter (67), residues in the combustion gas are captured by the gas filtration filter (67) and the combustion gas is cleaned.
