摘要： A rail lamp device and an apparatus for flash welding of rail are used in connecting railway rails to one another by flash welding to form a long welded rail. Electrode blocks (8) are inserted into and mounted to recessed guide portions provided on tip ends of clamp jaws (7), which are provided to face each other with a body portion of a rail (1) therebetween and are secured to a first clamp head (3) and a second clamp head (4), respectively, so that the clamp jaws (7) for securing the rail (1) and the electrode blocks (8) for supplying electric power to the rail (1) are made unitary. A hydraulic cylinder (6a) on the first clamp head (3) varies a piston stroke to regulate a reference position for positioning of the rail body portion when a nut (66) threaded onto a threaded portion (65) provided on a tip end portion of a rearwardly extending piston rod is made positionally variable.

摘要： A ferroalloy containing more than 4% by weight of silicon is produced by casting thin pieces. The manufacturing conditions consist of quickly coagulating the ferroalloy from the molten state at a cooling rate of greater than 1oC/sec but less than 105oC/sec. A thin cast piece which is obtained is subjected to hot rolling reduction of 30% or more at a temperature of 600oC to 800oC. After being washed with acid, the cast piece is cold rolled to a desired thickness. The above manufacturing techniques permit the cast piece to be cold rolled on an industrial scale without developing cracks. After cold rolling, the cast piece is annealed so as to exhibit excellent magnetic properties.

摘要： This invention relates to a method of hot rolling a high-silicon steel plate. According to the present invention, leader strips, each of which consists of a metallic material having superior cold and hot processability, are joined to both end portions of a high-silicon steel plate, and the other end portions of the leader strips are fixed to tension reels, the high-silicon steel plate being then subjected to hot rolling. The preheating of the rolling rolls can be done by passing preheated leader strips through the rolls. In order to carry out a reverse rolling operation, the two tension reels are set in the heat retaining furnaces, and the heat of the steel plate is retained between reverse rolling passes so as to set at least one leader strip to a length larger than the distance between the tension reels, whereby the temperature drop can be compensated for along the whole length of the steel plate.
