摘要： An electronically controlled vehicle suspension system that can be switched between a hard and a soft state has a mode selection switch that permits an alternative choice between a hard mode that puts the suspension in the hard state and an automatic mode that automatically puts the suspension into the soft or hard state depending upon the vehicle conditions. A control device is also provided that puts the suspension in the automatic mode, in preference to the mode to which the mode selection switch has been set, when the engine key switch is turned on for the start. This electronically controlled suspension system is therefore always in the automatic mode when the engine has been started so that the suspension is automatically switched between the soft and hard states depending on the vehicle conditions, thereby assuring a comfortable ride at all times.

摘要： The disclosed pump includes a casing housing a working chamber and an impeller. The impeller includes a blade wheel mounted on a rotational shaft, a plurality of pumping blades extending axially from the periphery of the blade wheel and a cover mounted within the casing and fitted over the blade wheel for rotation therewith. The cover includes an end face member defining one side of the working chamber and a cylindrical skirt portion depending from the periphery of the end face member and encircling the blade wheel and defining a hollow interior space within the impeller between the end face member and the blade wheel. The end face member has a plurality of slots through which the blades extend into the working chamber. The interior surface of the cover defines a plurality of pockets, each contoured to receive and mate with one of the blades so that in use each blade rests flush against one surface of the pocket with no space for fluid therebetween.

摘要： A four-wheel steering apparatus for a vehicle includes a hydraulic actuator for steering the rear wheels, and first and second oil pumps. An in-phase steering control valve is connected between the first oil pump and the actuator and outputs first hydraulic output for steering the rear wheels in phase with the front wheels in accordance with a steering state of the front wheels. An antiphase steering control valve is connected between the second oil pump and the actuator and outputs second hydraulic output for steering the rear wheels in opposite phase to the front wheels in accordance with a rate of change in the steering state of the front wheels. The hydraulic actuator combines the first and second hydraulic outputs from the control valves and steers the rear wheels in accordance with the difference between the hydraulic outputs.

摘要： An apparatus for controlling the exhaust-gas recirculation cycling of an engine includes an exhaust-gas recirculation passage connected at one end to an intake passage and at the other end to an exhaust passage. An exhaust-gas recirculation valve is provided in the recirculation passage to open and close it. The valve is coupled to an actuator having a pressure chamber and moved in accordance with the pressure within the chamber. The chamber communicates with first and second pressure sources through a solenoid valve. In order to move the recirculation valve to a desired position from the present position, the solenoid valve is controlled by a control device such that the first and second pressure sources are alternately connected to the pressure chamber when the distance between the present and desired positions is small, and such that the first or second pressure source is continuously connected to the pressure chamber when the distance between the present and desired positions is large.

摘要： A fuel injection pump including an improved plunger pre-stroke adjusting mechanism which comprises a control sleeve coupled with a control rod through a coupling shaft. The coupling shaft is rotatably mounted in an aperture defined in the control rod and has an engagement portion held in engagement with the control sleeve. The engagement portion is disposed in eccentric relation to a body of the coupling shaft for translating rotating motion of the control rod into axial movement of the control sleeve, thereby adjusting the pre-stroke of a plunger. The pre-stroke adjusting mechanism thus constructed is compact and simple in construction and hence can easily be assembled.
