摘要： A method of thermal transfert imaging, in which a scanning exposure source, such as a laser is used to effect the thermal transfer of colourant from a donor sheet to a receptor for the thermally transferred colourant. In one aspect, a radiation-absorbing material is incorporated in the receptor sheet such that imagewise exposure of the contacted donor and receptor sheets causes heating in the exposed regions of the receptor to effect thermal transfer of the colourant. In another aspect, the donor sheet comprises a layer of a vapor-deposited colourant and either the colourant itself is capable of absorbing the exposing radiation or the donor sheet further comprises a radiation-absorbing material in a separate underlayer to the colourant layer. Novel constructions of thermal transfer donor sheet and receptor sheets are also descrbied.

SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a fixing device(optical fiber component) of an electrophotographic image forming device, includes a process in which an optical fiber having a numerical aperture of 0.08 to 0.34 is prepared, a process in which protective film material is spread over the optical fiber so as to form a protective film, that adheres to the outside surface of the optical fiber and has Shore D hardness of equal to or more than 65, and a process in which buffer material is spread over the protective film to form buffer that is peelably fixed to the outer side of the film. The protective cover permanently remains on the outside surface of the optical fiber during the connecting work of the fibers and thereafter.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved lighting device and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The optical device collects light rays, and selectively outputs or condenses the light rays. One layer has a refractive index n 1 . A top surface, bottom surface and side surface determine a tilt angle (ψ). A rear surface extends from the top surface, to the bottom surface and side surface. A first layer is coupled to the bottom surface of the layer, and has a refractive index n 2 . With the refractive index n 2 of the first layer, light rays incident from the rear surface of the layer are preferably output to the first layer. A second layer is coupled to the bottom of the first layer, and selectively output to the periphery. The eyesight of output light rays can be improved by using additional layers such as a light-ray polarization layer, a polarization conversion layer and a diffusion layer post LCD and preferably using polarized light rays in the diffused light rays having passed through the LCD layer. 摘要： An apparatus and method for regulating the charge voltage of a number of electrochemical cells connected in series is disclosed. Equalization circuitry is provided to control the amount of charge current supplied to individual electrochemical cells included within the series string of electrochemical cells without interrupting the flow of charge current through the series string. The equalization circuitry balances the potential of each of the electrochemical cells to within a pre-determined voltage setpoint tolerance during charging, and, if necessary, prior to initiating charging. Equalization of cell potentials may be effected toward the end of a charge cycle or throughout the charge cycle. Overcharge protection is also provided for each of the electrochemical cells coupled to the series connection. During a discharge mode of operation in accordance with one embodiment, the equalization circuitry is substantially non-conductive with respect to the flow of discharge current from the series string of electrochemical cells. In accordance with another embodiment, equalization of the series string of cells is effected during a discharge cycle.

摘要： A dispensing system for dental material made of two components has a dual chamber cartridge that releasably connects to an applicator. The chambers of the cartridge are located in an over-under orientation relative to the user's grip on the applicator, enabling the system to be especially useful for placing dental material in regions of the patient's oral cavity that are difficult to access. Certain embodiments of the invention include a static mixing assembly having a swivelable cannula, and an exit conduit of the mixing assembly is optionally curved along its length. Other aspects of the invention relate to a reusable hygienic sheath useful for covering a dual chamber cartridge as well as a single chamber cartridge.
