    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retreat a sheath member more smoothly and more easily while deploying a stent graft in relation to a method and system for deploying an intravascular prosthesis in a vascular system and the associated stent graft. SOLUTION: A proximal anchor stent ring of the intravascular prosthesis includes a proximal apex, a distal apex, a strut extending between these proximal and distal apexes, and anchoring pins. The strut, the proximal apex and the distal apex define an imaginary cylindrical surface. A pair of the anchoring pins is adjacently disposed in the strut for each proximal apex. The anchoring pins extend inward from the inner surface of the strut and protrude outward radially from the cylindrical surface with the strut as the starting point.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defect patch device and method that patches a defect in the heart or other cardiovascular tissue.
      SOLUTION: For operating a suture 87, the suture 87 is drawn through a catheter 80 to draw back a patch 31, i.e. the patch 31 is developed to an excessively developed position. The suture 87 and hypodermic tube 86 are also used to stabilize a patch device 30 when a push out tube 82 is extended to further develop or excessively extend the patch device 82 to opens further or carrries out overextension the device 30 under deployment. A prickle 33 is drawn back to a position orthogonally crossing the wall of the atrial septum by combination of positioning the hypodermic tube 86 onto the patch device, drawing the suture 87, and pushing the patch device 30 by a push out tube 82. The prickle 33 is penetrated into or engaged with the atrial septum wall by advancing the device 30 to a position above PFO. When the suture 87 is released and extracted out or the push out tube 82 is released from the device 30, the device 30 tends to return to a relaxation position and the prickle 36 hangs on the atrial septum wall.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dilatation balloon material, having suitable balance of competing property. SOLUTION: This self-wrapping dilatation balloon includes: multiblock copolymer having high elasticity and elastic recovery from nominal strains about 30% or more. Polymeric extrudate for making a dilatation balloon including multiblock polymer having tensile strength ranging from about 50 MPa to about 450 MPa, strain at break in the range of about 50% to about 600% and substantially complete elastic recovery from the nominal strains of at least about 30%. The extrudate has phase-separation micro-domains that are macroscopically aligned in parallel, perpendicular, transverse or a combination thereof. The manufacturing method of the polymeric extrudate for use as a dilatation balloon is described in this specification. The method includes a step of extruding multiblock copolymer mixture or composite material to form an extrudate. The extrusion is performed so that the extrudate has phase-separated micro-domains that are macroscopically aligned in parallel, perpendicular, transverse or a combination thereof.
