摘要： The reduction of combustion noise from diesel engines calls for new injection methods. According to the invention a division into preinjection and main injection is proposed. This is made possible by two injection lines (3, 4) of different length, the difference in length of which is so selected that the running time difference of the pressure waves corresponds to the time delay between preinjection and main injection. In order to take account of the compressibility of the fuel, both injection lines (3, 4) are under a high static pressure. The hydraulic backpressure of the injection lines (3, 4) on one another is prevented by non-return valves (8, 9) and bypass valves (10, 11). Due to the controlled injection, combustion noises are considerably reduced.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for regenerating a soot filter of a Diesel combustion engine. For the burning of soot deposited on the filter two coupled Helmholtz resonators are provided with the exhaust gases being introduced into the resonance pipes at their center portion. The timed ignition of the burners generates pressure waves in the system which may oscillate. When the top of a pressure wave is reached in one of the resonance housings, the temperature rises due to the adiabatic compression process such that the soot is ignited in the down-stream filter. Thereby the filter is regenerated due to the burning of soot. The burners are ignited in phase opposition so that the pressure waves generated by the burners are eliminated by interference at the location of the opening of the exhaust gas line into the resonance pipes. An increase of the counter pressure in the exhaust gas line due to negative feedback of the pressure waves is thereby prevented.

摘要： A cylinder head sealing arrangement for reciprocating piston engines, especially internal combustion engines. An end of each cylinder liner that faces a cylinder head is provided with a raised collar that includes a centering portion. A preferably metallic combustion chamber seal in the form of a ring having a constant thickness in a starting position is guided with clearance fit. When cylinder head screws are tightened, the ring undergoes a plastic deformation of at least one end face. The ring has an inner surface that is guided relative to the centering portion only via a cylindrical guide region of the ring or the raised collar. The free space between the ring and the centering portion increases continuously proceeding from the guide region so that after plastic deformation the ring rests flat upon the cylinder liner beyond the region of a radius that defines a transition between the liner and the collar.
