摘要： PURPOSE: To control the growth of viable tissues by providing a magnetic field generating means and a magnetic field sensor and generating a directional fluctuating magnetic field in one area of viable tissues. CONSTITUTION: A tissue growth promoter 20 has two treatment heads 30 and 32 and is arranged while gacing the area of terminal parts 26 and 28 on a leg 22 of viable tissues. The respective treatment heads 30 and 32 are provided with non-metallic such as plastic housings 38 and 40 and field coils 42 and 44 are housed in these housings. The field coils 44 and 42 to access a battery 48 of a slide panel, etc., in the housing 38 generate an impression magnetic field. A space 68 is occupied by target tissues, and a magnetic force line 52 extended parallelly with a prescribed axis 50 is extanded through this tissue and passed through the target tissues. A magnetic force gauge 46 is arranged inside a growth controller 20 and measures total, namely, synthetic magnetic flux through the prescribed space 68 parallelly with the prescribed axis 50.

The analyzer has a magnetometer (12) which measures the magnetic field produced by both ac and dc sources along an axis and determines the dc field plus the fundamental and various harmonic frequencies. A microcontroller (29) uses this information to calculate various cyclotron resonance frequencies and then compares the calculations to stored data relating to cyclotron resonance frequencies of certain biologically important ions such as calcium, potassium and magnesium. 摘要： An apparatus (20, 80) and method for preventing and therapeutically treating osteoporosis are provided. The apparatus (20, 80) includes a magnetic field generator (40, 42, 84) for producing a controlled, fluctuating, directionally oriented magnetic field parallel to a predetermined axis (50) projecting through the target bone or skeletal system (24, 72). In one aspect, a field detector (46, 74) samples the magnetic flux density along the predetermined axis (50) and provides a signal to a microprocessor (100, 248) which determines the average value of the flux density. The applied magnetic field is oscillated at predetermined frequencies to maintain a preselected ratio of frequency to average flux density which controls osteoporosis. This ratio is maintained by adjusting the frequency of the fluctuating magnetic field and/or by adjusting the intensity of the applied magnetic field as the composite magnetic flux density changes in response to changes in the local magnetic field to which the target bone (24, 72) is subjected.

This ratio is maintained by adjusting the frequency of the fluctuating magnetic field and/or by adjusting the intensity of the applied magnetic field after nulling out the local magnetic field at that region containing the neoplasm. In one aspect, a synergistic therapeutic cancer treatment is obtained by exposing cancer cells to the magnetic fields of the invention in the presence of a chemotherapeutic cancer agent. /1840
