摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference between teeth of a first partially missing gear and a driving gear and occurrence of noise in an intermittent rotary drive device having the first partially missing gear and a second partially missing gear coaxially provided, for restarting an engagement of the first partially missing gear which has been temporarily stopped with the driving gear by using a resilient force of a spring provided between both the first and second partially missing gears. SOLUTION: A cylindrical part 21 is coaxially formed with the driving gear 10, and a leaf spring part 22 with its tip end abutting on the cylindrical part 21 is formed near a missing section 11a of the first partially missing gear 11. When the missing section 11a of the first partially missing gear 11 reaches the position of the driving gear 10, the plate spring part 22 pushes the cylindrical part 21 of the driving gear 10 in the outer peripheral direction, and the first partially missing gear 11 rotates in the normal rotation direction by its reaction force. At this time, a force (arrow A) in a reverse direction is applied on the first partially missing gear 11 by resilient force of a compression spring 17. Reverse rotation of the first partially missing gear 11 by this applied force is prevented, and interference between the first partially missing gear 11 and the driving gear 10 is prevented. SOLUTION: During print start position correction processing in an ink jet printer, a control section controls a carrier 3 to move not only in the range on a sheep P but over a wider range and controls an alignment sensor 6 to scan the end of the sheet P on the main scanning side. Since the intensity of light received by a light receiving element varies abruptly on the boundary of the end of the sheet P when it is scanned by the alignment sensor 6, that position is recognized as the sheet end. Value of a carrier encoder 5 is measured at that moment in time and a correction value of print start position is determined from these two measurements. The device is further equipped with the cartridge 110 having support arms extending upward so as to come into contact with the guide rails 20 during insertion and removal of the cartridge from the image forming main body. A photoconductive drum 114 is positioned on a lower portion of the cartridge 110 and when the cartridge is inserted into the image forming main body, the cartridge 110 is supported by resting the photoconductive drum 114 on the support members.

SOLUTION: When a pulse width modulation signal VT is applied to an RC circuit and an inversion circuit 100, a comparator 142 is fooled again into believing that a quantity of current larger than when 'sense' signals is passed through motor winding is being demanded. At the same time, a monostable timer 140 is caused to trigger a signal passed through its output marked with a code '144'. When all of them take place, a logic/driver circuit 134 turns on a transistor Q13. With this method, the transistor Q13 is turned on and off with the same duty cycle as that of the pulse signal VT.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the control of a dark attenuation and photosensitivity by using a photosensitive element containing a mixture of oxo-titanyl phthalocyanine and titanium dioxide and having a specified titanium dioxide content. SOLUTION: A mixture of 100 pts.wt. X type or Y type oxo-titanyl phthalocyanine, 5,000 pts.wt. solvent in which the ratio between methyl ethyl ketone and cyclohexanone is 50:50 and 1-35 pts.wt. titanium dioxide is dispersed by using a customary means such as a paint shaker. The resultant mixture is applied to a standard 'resin binder as an electric charge generating layer on the electrically conductive surface of a substrate such as the anodically oxidized surface of an aluminum drum. The top of the formed layer is then coated with an electric charge transferring layer to obtain a photoconductive member, typically a drum or belt. One or both of anatase type titanium dioxide and rutile type titanium dioxide as polymorphs can be used.
