    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a sealing action can coincide with the inner pressure of a suction and pressing bell-shaped member without the squashing or the damaging of a seal when the suction and pressing bell-shaped member and an underside part are butted to each other and that an error in the thickness between a flange of a clamping frame on the top and a material to be molded can be compensated for over an extensive range. SOLUTION: The device for molding a thermoplastic material, especially for manufacturing a molding having a large height is equipped with the suction and pressing bell-shaped member 1 and the underside part 2 which are mutually locked by a locking device 3. On the underside part 2, a molding die 8 and a clamping frame 9 are mounted. The clamping frame 10 on the top can be closely held and fixed by means of an actuation cylinder 11. The clamping frame 9 is arranged between the bell-shaped member 1 and the clamping frame 10 on the top in a locked state and is clamped by a seal 15 extending over the entire periphery of the bell-shaped member 1. The seal 15 can be pressed to the clamping frame 10 on the top by means of a pressure medium.
