摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a pedal feeling of a brake system and to contribute to the economy of manufacture of specific components of the brake system. SOLUTION: The brake system comprises an electrically powered normal source 42 of a pressurized hydraulic brake fluid, and a manually powered backup source 12 in the case of a failure of the normal source. During normal braking, the fluid from the backup source is fed from vehicle brakes to a pedal simulator. The pedal simulator 26 preferably includes the structure of spring loaded pistons, expansion volumes and damping orifices together with valves selectively controlling the flow of fluid to and from the pedal simulator which provides for an improved pedal feeling during vehicle braking. The brake system further includes a relatively low-cost fluid separator unit provided to prevent intermixing of pressurized fluid between the backup source and the normal source. The face of the disc 12 extended inside adjacently to the outside plate 32 of the deep well 34, and the face of the rim 14 extended outside adjacently to the inside 54 of the deep well 34, are aligned by a fixture 60 and butt-welded inside and outside of the wheel assembly 10 by a pair of gas metal arm welding electrodes 62A, 62B to manufacture the wheel assembly 10.

When friction pads 11, 13 are worn, a spring 46 extends than normal length, and following this, the pressure applied between the cam 42 and a bearing 44 is released. Because the cam 42 is energized counterclockwise by a torsion spring 48, the cam 42 is rotated following the pressure release. Thus, the cam 42 provides larger efficiency diameter for the bearing 44, and therefore, abrasion of the friction pads 11, 13 is automatically compensated.

Abutting the upper end of the post 53, the webs 31, 32 have opening parts for receiving the respective opposed hook ends of a tension return spring 54 for deflecting the upper ends of the webs 31, 32 to connect them to the post 53. Having a lever member 55a with an operating lever 55 mounted between a pair of opposed reciprocating links 56, 57, the spring 54 deflects the webs 31, 32 so as to be connected to the links 56, 57. This actuating mechanism is constituted between an axle tube 24 and a hat part 58 of a disc brake rotor 28.

CONSTITUTION: In a system in which the pressurization chamber of a master cylinder 12 is connected to a front-wheel brake circuit via a line 13 and to a rear-wheel brake circuit via a line 15 in which a pressure regulating valve 14 intervenes, a normally open shutoff valve 28 and a three-way pressure control valve 29 intervene in a part of the line 15. Shutoff valves 46, 51 and three-way pressure control valves 47, 53 intervene in branch lines branching from the line 13 and leading to front wheel brakes 16, 17, and the valves 28, 29 and 46, 47, 51, 53 are controlled by a central control device 21. Each of the three-way pressure control valves 29, 47, 53 can be switched between a first position wherein pressure to a wheel brake is increased and a second position wherein the pressure is increased and, during anti-lock control, is cyclically operated for switching for a predetermined time.

摘要： An assembly for filling and sealing a cavity (14) in a container (10). The assembly includes a fill passage (18) in sealing engagement with the periphery of the receiving passage (12) in the container (10). A vacuum source (24) withdraws gas from the container (10) and the assembly. Powdered material under a vacuum is supplied to a vibrating platform (44) which dispenses the material while vibrating so that the material passes through a valve (48, 52), the fill passage (18) and into the container (10). A plug magazine (26,125) stores and delivers one spherical ball (28) at a time to the fill passage (18) for being forced into the receiving passage (12) to seal the container (10). A vacuum valve (48, 52) seals the material supply from the fill passageway (18) to maintain the vacuum in the material supply when the container (10) is received. A probe (74) has a thermistor at the lower end which changes resistance in response to a change in temperature which occurs upon the material level in the container reaching the lower end of the probe (74), in response to which the vibration of the material supply platform (44) is stopped. The probe (74) is retracted and the snout (68) is moved downwardly to force a ball (28) into the receiving passage (12) to seal the container (10). The vacuum valve (52) is closed, the source of vacuum is closed and the sealed container (10) is received and replaced by another empty container.
