摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroporation method and an electroporation apparatus for electrically perforating cell membranes to inject a material into cells by applying an electric field to a cell-containing specimen. SOLUTION: There is provided an electroporation apparatus using a long hollow member to provide a uniform electric field during electroporation. The electroporation apparatus comprises a long hollow specimen-stuffing member 400 of a non-conductive material, a reservoir 300 so connected as to fluidly communicate with a distal end of the specimen-stuffing member, and a pressure maintaining means connected to the other distal end of the hollow specimen-stuffing member to fluidly communicate via a connector disposed with an electrode insertion unit, wherein, after the hollow member is filled with the specimen including cells and the material which would be absorbed into the cells, electric pulses are applied to a pair of electrodes 200 of both ends of the long hollow member.
