The seat back turnably coupled to a vehicle comprises a power seat recliner for rotating the seat back between the upright position and the folded position, a mechanical seat latch for fixing the seat back to the upright position, a power latch actuator structured to steer the mechanical seat latch between a holding position and a release position, and a control system connected to the power seat recliner and the power latch actuator. This method has a stage for receiving a remote user command requiring operation of the seat back and a stage for operating the power seat recliner and the power latch actuator to rotate the seat back with motive power of the vehicle based on the received remote user command.

In one embodiment, the core layer (12) is made of a material with heat absorption or insulation properties. The layer of metalized film (14) is made of a material having heat reflective properties that can be bonded to the core layer (12). Alternatively, a compatible bonding agent can be applied to the core layer, the metalized film, or both. To form the vehicle panel (10), the layer metalized film (14) is positioned on one half of a mold tool and the core layer (12) is positioned on the other half of the mold tool. Heat is applied to the core layer (12) and the mold tool is closed such that the heat from the core layer (12) causes the metalized film (14) to be in a formable state and bonds to the core layer (12).

The reinforcement layer (14) is comprised of fiberglass strands (22) intermingled with a polymer (24) to form a blended composition having a linear density in a range between about 50 and 200g/m 2 . The vehicle panel (10) may also include an adhesive layer (16) between a cover material (20) and the reinforcement layer (14) on one side of the core layer (12). The vehicle panel (10) may also include a scrim material (18) adjacent the reinforcement layer (14) on the opposite side of the core layer (12). The reinforcement layer (14) provides dimensional stability to the vehicle panel (10), while reducing the overall weight and thickness of the vehicle panel (10) as compared to conventional vehicle panels.
