    • A spray nozzle (10) attaches to a garden hose (H) used to water lawns and gardens comprising. A nozzle body (12) has formed in it a fluid inlet (14), a fluid outlet (16), and a fluid passage (18) extending between the inlet and outlet. The inlet attaches to the hose, and the outlet forms an orifice through which water sprays onto a lawn or garden. A valve (40) includes a valve stem (42) movable a position blocking the orifice to a position in which fluid discharges through the outlet. A handle (62) is grasped by a user of the hose and is attached to the valve stem for moving the stem relative to the orifice. The extent of this movement is a function of a desired spray pattern, this pattern being maintained so long as a constant grip pressure is maintained on the handle. A position clip (72) is movably mounted on the body is movable by the user. The clip, when in place, holds the handle in a position by which the desired spray pattern is maintained even when the user's grip pressure is released.

    • A pressure sprayer (20) is pressurized automatically with movement of the sprayer and maintains adequate pressure during non-movement to allow the ejection of an amount of liquid before needing re-pressurization. The pressure sprayer (20) includes wheels (30,32) that allow the pressure sprayer (20) to be mobile. A cam is attached to the axle of the wheels which rotates with the rotation ofthe axle/wheels (30,32). A pressure pump (78) is associated with the cam such that movement of the cam causes the pressure pump (78) to pump liquid from a holding tank to an accumulator (76) or directly to a spray wand in communication with the pump. The liquid may be sprayed (ejected) from the accumulator (78) during both movement (pumping) and non-movement (no pumping) of the sprayer (20), while the liquid may be directly sprayed from the holding tank only during movement (pumping) thereof. Thus, as the wheels (30,32) rotate due to moving the pressure sprayer (20), the cam causes movement of the pressure pump (78) to fill the accumulator with the liquid under pressure. The pressure pump (78) is adapted to obtain liquid from the holding tank and provide that liquid to the pressure accumulator (71). A relief valve is provided to relieve the buildup of pressure during movement of the wheels when no spraying is taking place.

    • A hose includes a tube assembly (12) surrounded by a textile reinforcement (36) that is surrounded by a cover assembly (20). The tube assembly (12) includes an inner non-foamed layer (14) that is surrounded by a foamed layer (16) that is surrounded by an outer non-foamed layer (18). The textile reinforcement (30) surrounds the outer non-foamed layer (18) of the tube assembly (12) and preferably consists of a first spiral threading (32) and a second mesh threading (34). The cover assembly (20) includes an inner non-foamed layer (14) that is surrounded by a foamed layer (16) that is surrounded by an outer non-foamed layer (18). The adjacent relationship of the outer non-foamed layer (18) of the tube assembly (12) and the inner non-foamed layer (14) of the cover assembly (20) provide a substantial increase in adhesion between the two assemblies. Further, this configuration reduces the tendency for water seepage between the layer or plies that can cause bubbles and separation. Still further, the present configuration allows the foam layers to be blown with lighter densities for softness and reduced weight while not compromising hose integrity. Even further, the present configuration improves hose strength with a concomitant reduction in the amount of textile reinforcement (30).

    • A rotary sprinkler (10) and sled base (20). The sled base (20) has a main body (22) with a pair of wings (32) pivotally connected thereto at opposed sides. The wings (32) permit compact storage when folded in and provide a wider footprint when folded out to make the sprinkler more stable. The sprinkler head (40) has a water channel (24) which permits the jets to be lower to the ground for increased sprinkler stability. The sprinkler (10) has a plurality of different sized vertical jets (64) to achieve a more uniform water distribution, the top jet spraying further from the sprinkler, the bottom jet spraying the closest. The sprinkler (10) has deflection means (90). The deflector (92) may be manually adjustable to fix the maximum spray distance or the deflector (92) may be connected to a cam follower (98) which follows a deformable circular "roller coaster" cam surface (86) to alter the maximum spray distance as the sprinkler (10) rotates. The deflector assembly (90) may also include means for reducing water flow of the jets (64).
