    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable compact wind power generation apparatus capable of storing electric power and having high safety during an operation, without requiring a weathervane mechanism for coping with change in wind direction.SOLUTION: In this compact wind power generation apparatus, a wind power generation unit including a casing housing a wind turbine, the wind turbine receiving wind in the casing and capable of freely rotating, a wind collecting plate guiding the wind to the wind turbine, and a power generation means converting the rotation of the wind turbine into the electric power is rotatably coupled to another wind power generation unit via a hinge, and regularly oriented in the wind direction so as to be developed and installed in a substantially W shape. Accordingly, even when the wind direction changes, the wind can be guided to the wind turbine by the wind guide action of the wind collection plate and the casing so that the power generation is allowed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sandwich panel with a multiple-order curved surface that is adapted to form an inner and outer complex structure of a second or third order curve, is adapted to form a relatively thick plate without any change thereby reducing machining cost, is adapted to adjust the inner structure according to loads, thereby reducing weight, is adapted to existing equipment, and can be manufactured more easily and simply than a conventional manufacturing method.SOLUTION: The lightweight and inexpensive sandwich panel having a multiple-order curved surface can be easily manufactured by separately forming a hollow core A by a laminate molding method in advance, and joining surfaces 1 and 2 to the front face and rear face of the multiple-order curved surface having greatly different shapes, to prevent harmful deformation such as buckling and corrugations. In particular, the lightweight and inexpensive hollow core A having the outer and inner complex structure can be simply formed by forming the hollow core A by the laminate molding method.

    • A dynamic mixer includes a housing structure having a mixing chamber, having an inlet opening through which a material or materials to be mixed is passed into the mixing chamber and an outlet. A mixer rod has mixing rod portion disposed in the housing structure and a plurality of mixing paddle portions each having a mixing surface. The mixing rod is adapted for attachment to a drive unit which imparts a rotational mixing force to the rod. In one exemplary non-limiting embodiment of a mixer, the housing structure includes a hollow tubular structure with first and second open ends, a hollow T fitting having a first opening attached to the first end of the hollow tubular structure, a second opening opposed to and in alignment with the first opening and a third opening transverse to the first and second openings, and a coupler fitting attached to the second open end of the tubular structure. An end cap structure is attached to the second opening of the T fitting for supporting the rod drive portion for rotation and sealing against material leakage. A support structure is positioned at the second open end of the tubular structure and secured in place by the coupler fitting, to support the drive rod while permitting material flow out the open second end.

    • A system for metering and dispensing single and plural component liquids and solids as described herein. The dispensing system has a microprocessor-based control system and progressive cavity pumps which provide a very accurate control of component ratios, shot sizes, flow rates and dispense durations. The system has numerous feedback components for accurately controlling the pressure, flow rates, fluid levels and amounts of fluids dispensed. Where a valved nozzle is used, the pressure in the flow system is used to control the pumps rather than the valve. Such a system may be used as a sprayer with compressed air added. Drum rams are associated with the supply drums and the progressive cavity pumps may be placed on the drum ram. Maintenance of a steady state in the system is accomplished with back and forth movement of the pump, with compensation for pressure changes. Absolute rotational position of the pump can be monitored when a set pressure is maintained, to diagnose system conditions. A high flow system uses ball valves and a releasably coupled manifold. A mold charging system uses pressure to control the pumps which are cycled on and off to avoid overpressurizing the mold. The rate of pressure increase is used to control the rate of flow from the pumps as the mold approaches completion of the charge, again to avoid overpressurizing the mold. A signal controlled by a timer can indicate elapsed time as a warning that material within the mixer conduit is hardening to a condition such that flow cannot be reinitiated.
