摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject as-spun filament having a uniform molecular orientation over the whole cross section and capable of manifesting excellent mechanical and thermal characteristics by melt spinning a thermotropic liquid crystal polymer according to a specific method. SOLUTION: A thermotropic liquid crystal polymer is heated at a higher temperature than the melt transition temperature thereof by >=15 deg.C to provide a fluid stream, which is then passed through a heated extrusion chamber equipped with a cylindrical orifice having 1-15 aspect ratio of the length to diameter (L/D). A filament yarn is then taken up at a takeoff speed of at least about 200 m/min and about >=4 drawdown ratio (DD) (with the proviso that DD is at least 4 when the L/D is 0-2) to thereby produce the objective yarn having >=50 denier/filament denier, >=8 g/denier tenacity, >=450 g/denier modulus and >=2% elongation. Wholly aromatic polyesters, etc., are preferred as the above polymer.

The coating and/or pill may be composed of a material adapted to catalyze hydrolysis of the cellulose acetate tow and a water-soluble matrix material. The material may be an acid, an acid salt, a base and/or a bacterium adapted to generate an acid. When water comes into contact with the water-soluble matrix material, the material adapted to catalyze hydrolysis is released and catalyzes the hydrolysis and subsequent degradation of the cellulose acetate tow.

SOLUTION: This air opening jet comprises a housing, an air jet for moving the tow through the housing and opening the tow, an accumulating chamber including at least one, preferably two perforated plates located in a path of the moving tow and an air controller for controlling the flow of air so that the moving tow is urged into engagement with the perforated plates to retard the movement of the tow and cause the moving tow to properly accumulate in the accumulating chamber. The method for using the air opening jet apparatus to produce a multi-tow band product is obtained and the product is produced by the method.

SOLUTION: The base of the divesting for wounds having the cellulose ester base and the partial solvent is formed of the knit fabric and the acetic acid is released by the hydrolysis of the cellulose ester at 98.6±5 deg.F with the controlled method. The partial solvent is selected from a group consisting of glycerol triacetate, trimethylne glycol diacetate, glycol acetate monoethylene and their combination. Further, the partial solvent is formed of the glycerol triacetate. The bandage is so formed as to release the acetic acid exceeding 1000 microgram/day and the cellulose ester is formed of the cellulose acetate having a degree of substitution of about 2.5/anhydroplucose unit.
