    • PURPOSE: To unneccesitate a penetrating port in a flexible imperforate membrane by providing pips for supporting filter cloth on the membrane and providing an open collection groove, a penetrating outlet port and a pass route connecting the groove to the port in a filter plate. CONSTITUTION: A flexible imperforate membrane 14 is provided with the outer edge of which being fixed and connected to adjacent portions. Pipped device 15 is provided for the membrane 14 for supporting filter cloth. The membrane 14 is extended over a filtration zone and a transfer zone. Filter plates 11 are equipped with open collection groove 18, penetrating outlet port 12, passage device 41 and 42 which connects the groove 18 with the port 12. Further, the outer edge portions of the membrane 14 is positioned in parallel with the groove 18, the filterate from the filtered slurry is introduced to the filter cloth and allowed to pass around the pipped device 15, introduced into the groove 18 and collected via port 2. In the results, the membrane does not require a penetrating port that leads to higher production costs, choked holes, weakening of structure and reduction of the area of filtration.

    • PURPOSE: To increase precipitation volume and recovery amount of a heavier phase, and also to improve clarity of a lighter phase at an effluent discharged end by imparting an outwardly and geometrically inclined angle to a bowl wall at the effluent discharge end of a clarifier section without installing a conveyer. CONSTITUTION: The clarifier section 2 in which the heavier phase 12 is separated from the lighter phase 13 has the effluent discharge end 17 at which the lighter phase is discharged and an outer wall on which the heavier phase 12 is deposited. A beach section 4 on a downstream side of the clarifier section 2 receives the heavier phase 12 from the clarifier section 2 and also has an inwardly inclined outer wall as well as a conveyer 16 for conveying the heavier phase toward the heavier phase 12 discharge end of a centrifugal separator 6. The conveyer is not mounted at an area from the effluent discharge end 17 to the beach section 4, and the outer wall of the section 2 being the part without installing the conveyer is inclined at an angle θ which permits the heavier phase 12 to move along the outer wall toward the section 4.
