    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unpadded bandaging product in roll form utilizing a moisture-curable resin which hardens upon exposure to moisture to form a rigid structure. SOLUTION: The bandaging product includes a bandage material 10 in a roll form for being dispensed in predetermined lengths suitable for use, and an elongated sleeve 25 housing the bandage material and formed of a moisture-impervious and re-sealable material to prevent entry of moisture. The bandage material 10 includes a substrate 11 and reactive resin to be impregnated into or coated on the substrate 11. The reactive resin is stable in a dry condition and, provides a rigid structure upon being in contact with moisture. A protective liner 12 encloses the substrate 11 and forms a barrier between the substrate 11 and the sleeve 25 during storage. The protective liner 12 is optionally removable after removal of the bandage material 10 from the sleeve 15.     • A latent resin system coated onto or impregnated into a medical bandage, the resin remaining soft and comformable during exposure to ambient moisture. An activator is provided for reacting with the resin for hardening the resin and the medical bandage. The method includes the steps of providing a medical bandage and coating or impregnating the medical bandage with a resin system that remains soft and comformable during exposure to ambient moisture. A resin activator is provided and is maintained separate from the medical bandage until after application of the medical bandage to the injury site. The resin activator is applied to the medical bandage after application of the medical bandage to the injury site to thereby harden the medical bandage into a rigid cast, or microcapsules within which the activator and/or resin are contained are ruptured to harden the medical bandage into a rigid cast.
