    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask having a transport structure capable of maintaining nutrition flow from a first corneal layer to a second corneal layer without producing a visually minus effect. SOLUTION: The mask includes: an anterior surface extended between an outer periphery portion and the center optical axis line of the mask and configured to reside adjacently to a first corneal layer; a posterior surface extended between the outer periphery portion and the central optical axis line of the mask and configured to reside adjacently to a second corneal layer; an opening portion configured to transport substantially whole incident light beams along the optical axis line; an opaque portion which surrounds at least a part of the opening portion, is substantially opaque portion extended between the outer periphery portion and the central optical axis line, and includes an inner area, an outer area, and a center area positioned between the inner area and the outer area; and a plurality of holes at least partially extended between the anterior surface and the posterior surface.     • A therapeutic ocular inlay assembly (2130) for treatment of one or more vision defects including a locator structure or depth marker (2126) to facilitate location of the inlay post-implant. The locator structure or marker (2126) extends at least partially outside a pupil region. The depth or layer at which the inlay (2130) is implanted can be determined by locating the depth marker (2126) without requiring incisions with the pupil region. The locator structure (2126) can be substantially invisible under casual observation, however can be provided with enhanced optical contrast characteristics under selected viewing conditions. The locator (2126) is thus unobtrusive, however can be readily located in a clinical setting, for example with artificial UV illumination. The locator (2126) can be connected to, e.g., integrally formed with, an inlay (2116) or may be a separate component provided in combination with the inlay (2116).
