    • A refrigeration cabinet having an outer housing formed of sheet metal or similar material and an inner liner formed of a molded thermoplastic material. The inner liner is spaced from the outer housing and the space may be filled with an insulating material. The inner liner has substantial lateral flexibility and is generally insufficient to support the weight of refrigerator shelves. Shelf support members are positioned between the outer housing and the inner liner. Shelf attachment means such as an adjustable rack is then positioned against the inner surface of the molded liner and firmly secured directly to the shelf support member by means of fasteners which extend through the inner liner to the shelf support member. In this way, racks may be firmly supported within the refrigeration cabinet. The entire assembly gives sufficient rigidity to the shelf racks to support the shelves in a cantilever manner. In such an arrangement, only two shelf support means are required. Each of the shelf support means extend vertically at the rear of the refrigeration cabinet between the molded liner and the outer housing of the cabinet.

    • A protective circuit is disclosed which is adapted to detect and indicate an overvoltage condition in a television receiver by blanking both sound and picture information. The circuit is coupled between an output of the receiver''s high voltage transformer and an input of the receiver''s automatic gain control (AGC) system. The normal input signal to the AGC circuit is a video information component of a broadcast television signal selected by the tuner and amplified. The AGC system normally responds to the varying signal strength of the synchronizing signal information of the video signal to control the gain of the receiver''s tuner and IF amplifier sections. Should the output of the receiver''s high voltage transformer rise above a predetermined level, the protective circuit generates a failure signal which causes the AGC system to cut off signal flow through the tuner and IF sections, thus terminating both audio and video reproduction by the receiver.

    • A tint control circuit for a color television receiver is described. The hue of the image reproduced on the screen is controlled by a limiting circuit which is incorporated in a transistor amplifier for supplying a reference signal to the color demodulators. The phase of the reference signal is changed, thereby changing the hue, by varying the amount of limiting in the amplifier. The limiting circuit comprises a bias control potentiometer which controls the bias of the transistor and thereby the degree of limiting of the amplifier.

    • A horizontal convergence circuit having a pair of convergence coils coupled in series with the secondary of a transformer. Means are provided to apply a voltage pulse waveform at the horizontal repetition rate to the transformer and thereby develop a sawtooth current in the respective convergence coils. Means are also provided to apply a sawtooth voltage across the coil which when integrated in the coil develops parabolic currents. The combination of the parabolic currents and sawtooth currents provides the necessary magnetic field to converge the associated electron beams in a cathode ray tube. The secondary winding of the transformer which is used to supply the pulse voltage to the convergence coils has readily releasably connectors for coupling opposite leads of the secondary winding to the respective convergence coils. Pins are provided on the leads of the coils and these pins are received within the connectors. By reversing the points of coupling of the pins in the respective connectors, the direction of sawtooth current in the two convergence coils can be reversed. In this way, convergence is made possible in circumstances where the normal sawtooth amplitude adjustment devices could not accomplish convergence. The secondary winding of the transformer has a center tap which is coupled through a potentiometer to circuit ground. The center tap also has a connector which may receive either one of the pins associated with the leads of the respective convergence coils. In this way, the sawtooth level in either one of the coils may be substantially reduced to zero without affecting the level of sawtooth current in the other coil. As in the case of reversing the direction of current, this greatly extends the range of adjustment for the sawtooth current.
