摘要： The present invention relates to a device and a process for purification of grey water. In particular the invention relates to in-home purification of grey water generated from laundry wash and/or rinse liquor for water saving by re-use. Surprisingly it has been found that it is possible to design a device and a process where, by continuous aeration, foam breaking and separation, the laundry wash and rinse water can be made substantially free of surfactants. This water is then preferably filtered to recover fresh water which can be reused for multiple applications.

摘要： Abstract The invention provides a unit-dose disintegrating and dispensing device for dispensing disinfectant in water, comprising a container having a base provided with a unit-dose dispensing aperture, a plurality of tabs disposed below said aperture, said tabs being capable of supporting a unit-dose and a cam-operated unit-dose disintegrating and dispensing mechanism disposed in said container, said mechanism comprising: a handle for driving the cam, a cam-driven shaft capable of rotational and axial motion along its own axis, an open-ended column for holding a stack of unit-doses of disinfecting material, said column offset from and attached to said shaft and capable of being rotated on rotation of said shaft, and a crushing arm offset from and attached to said shaft and capable of rotation around the axis of said shaft and capable of axial motion parallel to the axis of said shaft, such that at one position at which said column is aligned with said aperture, only one unit-dose is released from said column and held on said tabs, and on driving said cam, at the disintegrating and dispensing position, said crushing arm aligns with and axially pressurizes said unit-dose against said tabs thereby disintegrating the unit-dose to dispense it from said container.

摘要： The present invention relates to moulded filters, for use in gravity water filtration devices and a process for making such moulded filters. It is an object of the invention to provide filter media that provide high and consistent flow rates in gravity-fed water purification devices while ensuring effective removal of particulate contaminants. The invention relates to a process for producing said filters comprising the steps of: mixing 1 part by weight polymeric binder having a Melt Flow Rate less than 5 g/10 minutes, with 1 to 20 parts by weight filter medium in presence of a fluid wherein amount of said fluid is not more than 4 times the amount of said filter medium, moulding the mix obtained in step (a), optionally, compressing said mould, heating said mould to a temperature in the range 150°C to 350°C and demoulding the moulded filter. The invention also relates to moulded filters for use in gravity water filters.
