    • According to the present invention there is provided a cleaning agent composition capable of removing the foulants deposited in gas turbine air compressors even during their operation and thereby cleaning the compressors.That is, there is provided a cleaning agent composition comprising(A) a solvent component consisting of a combination of a particular monovalent aliphatic alcohol-ethylene glycol adduct and a particular phenol-ethylene glycol adduct, and(B) a surfactant component consisting of a combination of a particular polyethylene glycol mono(alkylphenol) ether and an ammonium or amine salt of a particular fatty acid. Said composition is diluted with purified water and used for cleaning of gas turbine air compressors, particular their turbine blades.The cleaning agent composition has high cleaning power; the gas turbine unit of the compressor cleaned with the composition is not liable to undergo secondary fouling or adverse effect because the composition scarcely remains thereon after cleaning; and the composition further has a rust-preventive effect for the compressor.

    • An information processing apparatus and method is disclosed wherein setting data to be used in image pickup can be set precisely to perform desired image pickup. The information processing apparatus may include a recording control section configured to control recording of image data obtained by image pickup and setting data used in the image pickup, and a reproduction section configured to reproduce the setting data. The information processing apparatus may further include an acceptance section configured to accept a variation amount to a value corresponding to the setting data inputted by a user, and a variation section configured to vary the setting data reproduced by the reproduction section based on the variation amount accepted by the acceptance section. The recording control section may control recording of the setting data varied by the variation section. The invention can be applied typically to a personal computer.

    • An apparatus for controlling valve timing in an internal-combustion engine. The apparatus includes a pair of telescoping sleeve members. One of the sleeve members is connected to the camshaft of the engine with a bolt, and the other sleeve member is connected to a timing pulley which is connected to the crankshaft of the engine. Each of the sleeve members has at least one slit which is located adjacent to a slit on the other sleeve member. The adjacent slits are angled relative to each other. Abutment rollers are arranged in the slits and are mounted on an axially movable member. The movable member is connected via a screw mechanism to a rotary motor. The rotational movement of the output shaft of the motor is changed to a linear movement of the support member, thereby causing the support member to move, which movement, in turn, causes the generation of angular displacement between the sleeve members so that variable valve-timing is obtained. The output shaft is hollow and is, on the inner end thereof, open to the head portion of the bolt. The other end of the shaft is closed with a plug.
