    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printed matter and an authenticity judging method of printed matter using the same which enable judgment of authenticity without requiring a complicated method and equipment and excel in the reliability of the judgment of the authenticity. SOLUTION: The printed matter 10 has a base 11 and printed information 12 provided on one side 11a of the base 11. The printed information 12 has a printed area 17 constituted by stacking three printed layers 17A, 17B and 17C sequentially and printed areas 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 constituted respectively of printed layers 13A, 14A, 15A, 16A, 18A, 19A, 20A, 21A and 22A which are formed of single ink and each of which is constituted of one layer.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transported amount sensing method and a transporting device using it for transporting a continuous object to be processed and applying a processing in accordance with the transported amount, whereby sensing of the transported amount can be made accurately at low cost on the basis of difference in the paper thickness.
      SOLUTION: The transported amount sensing method includes a first encoder installed on an in-feed roller whereon a continuous sheet is set fast and a second encoder installed on an auxiliary roller abutting to outside of winding fast, and works through such processes that; the rotating angle of each roller is calculated from the rotation amounts on the inside and outside of winding fast of the continuous sheet transported from the first and second encoders (S4), the distance from the center of the in-feed roller to the outside of winding fast of the continuous sheet is calculated using the obtained rotating angles (S5), the distance from the center of the in-feed roller to the center of the paper thickness is calculated using the distance obtained at S5, and the transported amount of the central part of paper thickness is calculated (S7).
