摘要： A remote radio unit, RRU, has an outer shell housing radio equipment and at least one fiber optical transceiver module. The fiber optical transceiver module comprises, a casing provided with an interface having a transmitter output, and a Transmitter Optical Sub-Assembly, TOSA, arranged within said casing, where said TOSA transmits light through said transmitter output. The fiber optical transceiver module is physically attached to a heat transferring structure adapted to transfer heat generated in said fiber optical transceiver module to a heat sink arranged outside said outer shell. The proposed technology also provides a fiber optical transceiver module comprising a casing provided with an interface having a transmitter output and a TOSA arranged within said casing and adapted to transmit light through said transmitter output, wherein said casing is further provided with thermal pads arranged on the surface of said casing, said thermal pads may connect to a thermal conductor.

An optical coupler, connected between the second terminal and the second port of the first optical filter, couples optical signals at a predetermined set of wavelengths from a third optical line terminal into the second port. A passive optical distribution node connects to optical network terminations and distributes optical signals between the optical line terminals and the optical network terminations. A method of provisioning an optical network is also described.

摘要： A method (100) for managing resource usage across domains in a communication network is disclosed. The communication network comprises a radio access domain, a core domain and a transport domain providing connectivity between the radio access domain and the core domain. The method comprises receiving from the core domain an indication of load status of gateway nodes in the core domain (110), receiving from the transport domain an indication of load status of transport resources in the transport domain (120), normalising across the core and transport domain a cost of using resources in each domain (130), calculating, on the basis of the normalised costs, optimal chains of resources in the core and transport domains for providing a service from different radio access nodes to different possible Access Point Names (APNs) (140), and sending to the core and transport domains information about the calculated optimal resource chains (150). Also disclosed are methods for managing resource usage in a core domain, a transport domain and a radio access domain of a communication network, together with cross domain, core domain, transport domain and radio access domain control elements.
