    • A radio communication transmitter and a method performed thereby for performing a transmission to a radio communication receiver over a first channel are provided. The radio communication transmitter and the radio communication receiver are operable in a radio communication network. The method comprises determining (110) power leakage to adjacent channels due to an ongoing transmission on a second channel; and determining (120) an energy threshold based on the determined power leakage to adjacent channels. The method also comprises performing (130) energy detection on one or more first channels; and transmitting (160) data to the radio communication receiver if the detected energy on the one or more first channels does not meet the determined energy threshold.

    • Method and radio node(500) for controlling a change of communication mode between transmit mode and receive mode according to a Time Division Duplex, TDD, scheme. The radio node has at least two parallel branches (504, 06) for transmission and reception of radio signals, wherein the branches currently operate in a first communication mode. The radio node obtains one or more indication signals (S1A, S1B) generated by one or more of the branches to indicate that the first mode has been turned off. When it is determined that the first communication mode has not been turned off in a faulty branch, e.g. by not receiving an indication signal in time from that branch,the first mode is disabled in the faulty branch, and/or the faulty branch is reported to a supervision centre (510). Thereby, it can be discovered when one of the branches is misaligned or otherwise faulty and suitable actions can be taken for repairing or replacing the faulty branch.

    • Method and apparatus for controlling performance in a TDD radio node (600) having multiple parallel branches (604, 606) and antennas (604a, 606a) for radio transmission of signals propagating through a transmit chain in each of the branches before emission from the antennas. A signal generator (602a) generates a signal that propagates through each branch, and tapping means (608) taps the signal from each of the branches after the transmit chain. A control unit (610) then determines a timing of the tapped signal from each of the branches, and monitors timing alignment of the branches based on the determined timing of tapped signals. If it is discovered that there is a timing misalignment between the branches which exceeds a preset acceptable limit, a transmission delay can be adjusted for at least one of the branches to reduce the misalignment.
