    • Disclosed are water soluble core wherein a particulate refractory material is combined with a binding agent comprising Na.sub.2 CO.sub.3, Na.sub.2 O . NSiO.sub.2 where n is 0.5 to 4, and SiO.sub.2 as ingredients and a process for producing the water soluble core. The process comprises mixing the particulate refractory material with a water glass, casting the mixture of the particulate refractory material and the water glass, hardening the casting by CO.sub.2 gas, and calcining the casting at between 100.degree. C. and a temperature less than that of an endothermic peak of the water glass in differential thermal analysis. Also, a process for die casting a metal is disclosed using the water soluble core which process comprises pre-heating the water soluble core from a temperature of 300.degree. C. below a melting point of the metal to a temperature of the endothermic peak.

    • Corrected values C1, M1, and Y1 corrected in a quasi-grayscale processing section of an image forming device by an error diffusion technique performed for each channel are evaluated in threshold value sections provided for individual channels, so as to determine whether or not they are greater than threshold values. If an overlapping CMY dot formation detector section detects that the density is higher than the threshold value in all of the three channels, a minimum density channel identifying section instructs a first quantized value substitution section and varies the outputs from the threshold value sections, so that the output in the channel with the lowest density has a value that does not represent dot formation. As a result, overlapping dot formation for the three channels is interrupted. Consequently, an image processing device capable of restraining occurrence of dark blotches and decrease in saturation can be offered without losing dot balance between channels even when a quasi-grayscale process is executed for each channel.

    • An engine control apparatus includes: the switch case 1; the stop switch body 6; the stop switch knob 3; the lock plate 5; the transponder 9; and the control section 11 for controlling the engine operation of the small motorboat based on the ID code from the transponder.
