    • The present invention relates to an arrangement, a communication network node and method for cell outage compensation in a communication network system comprising a plurality of communication network nodes (15a, 15b) communicating with user equipments (18), where each network node (15a, 15b) is serving at least one cell (19a, 19b), in which the user equipments (18) are situated, via two or more reconfigurable physical antennas (15a1, 15a2, 15b1, 15b2) configured according to an initial antenna parameter set. Cell outage is determined in a network node (15b). One of the reconfigurable physical antennas (15a2) of at least one cell (19a) is made temporarily available for compensation. The available antenna (15a2,) is prepared for compensation by reconfiguring one or more antenna parameters thereof in accordance with a compensating antenna parameter set. A new compensating cell (20) is transmitted from the prepared antenna (15a2). Upon cell recovery the compensating cell (20) is removed and the reconfigurable physical antennas (15a2) of the compensating cell (20) returned to the initial antenna parameter set.

    • A method in, and a network node (110, 140), for supporting compensation of cell outage in a cellular communications network (100). The cellular communications network (100) comprises a compensating cell (135) for compensating the cell outage and a supporting cell (115) neighbouring the compensating cell (135). The network node (110, 140) obtains (502, 1202) a sub-band of a system bandwidth for uplink scheduling of resources for the compensating cell (135). The network node (110, 140) schedules (503, 1203), in response to the cell outage, resources for the supporting cell (115) with restricted uplink scheduling within the sub-band. The network node applies (504, 1204) the scheduled resources in the supporting cell (115), thereby supporting the compensation of cell outage. As a result, higher Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio (SINR) is enabled in the uplink in the compensating cell. This may e.g. be utilized to let the compensating cell cover a larger area of an outage cell than else would be possible, and/or to serve user equipments located therein with improved performance.

    • A method in a base station (110) for enabling the base station (110) to identify a neighbouring base station (120) is provided. A request is being sent (303) to a user equipment (130), commanding it to send an identification requesting message to the neighbouring base station (120). In response to reception of the sent identification requesting message, a neighbouring base station identifier that is associated with and identifies the neighbouring base station (120), is received (303). Thereby the base station (110) is enabled to identify the neighbouring base station (120). By receipt of the neighbouring base station identifier, the base station becomes aware of and is enabled to contact, or connect with, the neighbouring base station more directly, without the need of doing it through the user equipment. This can be done at some later point in time, for example in order to request the neighbouring base station to perform handover measurements with regard to the same or another user equipment.
