    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage type burner device and its operation method, which provide desired low NOx operation by performing self-recirculation of a sufficient quantity of exhaust gas only by adding a simple means. SOLUTION: The heat storage type burner device comprises at least a pair of heat storage type burners 1a, 1b alternately burning and having heat storage bodies and a connecting pipe 40 for allowing the burners under combustion to self-recirculate exhaust gas after having passed the heat storage bodies 26 from the burners under heat storage for low NOx combustion. Each burner comprises a fuel line 13 with its tip formed as a fuel injection port 14, and at the time of combustion, nonflammable gas such as air is led into the fuel line 13 from a fuel lead-in port 11 through a fuel gas line system 50 and a nonflammable gas line system 51.
