摘要： Novel (halo)(hydroxy)-substituted phosphorus-containing acid derivatives are disclosed. Preferred compounds are 2-halo-3-hydroxypropyl ester derivatives of phosphorus and phosphoric acid formed by reaction of at least some amount of tertiary butyl glycidyl ether with a halogenated derivative of a phosphorus-containing acid followed by acid dealkylation of the product. The polyol products are useful in the production of polyurethane articles such as foams having increased resistance to the effects of fire. The derivatives can be additives or reactants in the polyurethane, depending on the presence or absence of terminal hydroxyl groups within the given ester moieties.

The stabilized complexes are useful as sanitizers.

摘要： Polyhydroxyl polyether compounds containing at least one monomeric unit each of the formulae: ##STR1## are disclosed. Polymeric condensation resins are prepared by allowing the polyhydroxyl polyethers to react with polyfunctional chain-forming compounds containing functional groups reactive with the hydroxyl groups of polyhydroxyl polyethers. The polyhydroxyl polyether compounds enhance the flame-retardant properties of polymeric condensation resins such as polyurethanes.

The compositions have haloneocarbyl moieties, and in general, the polyethers before the incorporation in the polyurethanes contain from one to two hydroxy moieties. The polyurethane foam compositions are flame-retardant and can have little or no scorch and little or no odor.
