    • The present invention provides for a dispensing device for the addition of products to seal and semisealed systems such as for example water treatment chemicals to domestic closed loop systems and in which the product can be dispensed from a biocompartmenal aerosol can which can be connected directly to the heating system through threaded attachments such that the contents of the can are directly discharged into heating system. No draining down is required and the dosing can be done under hot or cold conditions and the biocompartmental aerosol can avoids the problem of the propellant being discharged into the system since the chemical is separated within the can from the propellant. An arrangement of the invention can also comprise a dosing adaptor device serving to allow easy addition of water treatment chemicals to heating systems and which adaptor devices can be used for bleeding the excess air from the system by either the use of special bleed keys that are designed to open the dosing devices back check valves or by partly unscrewing the dosing devices.

    • Fluid, eg water, contained in a number of discrete compartments 26-36 in a floating buoy is forced by gravity through a central rotor, eg turbine wheel 20, to one or more of a number of other of the compartments 26-36 by the natural see-saw movement of the buoy 10 as it follows the change in horizontal profile of the sea surface. The buoy may be of eg circular or polygonal configuration. The floor of each compartment 26-36 may include an inner sloping portion 58. The turbine wheel 20 may drive directly an on-board electrical generator or may pump fluid to a remote generator and may be arranged to be turned in the same direction regardless of the direction of movement of the liquid. Additional openings (42, fig.4) may be provided in the compartment walls to redistribute water between compartments. Anti-rotation stabilising fins (18, fig.2) may be provided. A number of converters (64, 66, 68, figure 7) may be combined in a stack.
