摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for secure automatic configuration of equipment through replication. One example method generally includes receiving a request for configuration information used to configure at least a first device to be replicated in at least a second device; and communicating the configuration information to the second device, in response to the request. At least one of the first and second wireless devices may be a medical device, and/or the configuration information may include patient treatment information. In this manner, the amount of configuration data entry by a caregiver and the number of errors in this configuration data are most likely considerably reduced. Furthermore, in an emergency, a common medical treatment may be easily configured for many patients at once (i.e., the configuration information may be easily replicated from patient device to patient device).

摘要： A service for Public Safety (PS) and Law Enforcement (LE) users on commercial wireless networks which assure them access to packet data services. The service request is application based. The applications that are for official use, by the PS/LE users, could have a reserved priority level associated with them. The reserved priority level could be higher than a normal commercial user. The network could use the priority to distinguish users, and dynamically allocate and optimize network resources. The network could use priority level information to perform access, admission, and congestion control. The PS/LE user could use the official applications while on duty and un-official ones while off duty, thus, additionally freeing up network resources. The PS/LE users could then use advanced commercial packet data services, without the need for a private network, while at the same time making it feasible for commercial networks.

Restricted access points can lessen restrictions to allow devices to register with the restricted access point for providing measurements thereto. Additionally or alternatively, access point measurements can be provided to a minimization of drive tests (MDT) server for providing to the restricted access points. Thus, restricted access points can obtain the access point measurements for performing enhanced interference management or other functionality based at least in part on the measurements.

摘要： Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate performing idle handoff in a wireless communication environment. Signal quality of a pilot received from a base station can be measured, and a type ( e.g. , femto, macro,...) of the base station from which the pilot is received can be identified. According to an example, when the type of the base station is identified as being a femto cell base station, the base station can be recognized as being either preferred or non-preferred. Further, a linger timer can be initiated when the signal quality of the pilot exceeds an entry threshold and the base station is identified as a femto cell base station. Moreover, idle handoff to the base station can be performed upon expiration of the linger timer as a function of at least one subsequent measurement of signal quality of the pilot received from the base station.

摘要： Provisioning and access control for communication nodes involves assigning identifiers to sets of nodes where the identifiers may be used to control access to restricted access nodes that provide certain services only to certain defined sets of nodes. In some aspects provisioning a node may involve providing a unique identifier for sets of one or more nodes such as restricted access points and access terminals that are authorized to receive service from the restricted access points. Access control may be provided by operation of a restricted access point and/or a network node. In some aspects, provisioning a node involves providing a preferred roaming list for the node. 摘要： Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate communicating PSC split information regarding neighboring cells. The PSC split information can be transmitted in one or more overhead messages selected based on network deployment. Where macro cells and femto cells provide PSC split information, which can be a PSC range for related cells, PSC list, etc., the information can be transmitted in a low priority overhead message since it can be obtained at a source cell. Where only femto cells or closed subscriber group (CSG) cells provide PSC split information, the information can be transmitted in a higher priority more frequently transmitted message. In this regard, the information is available at target cells since not all devices can access CSG cells. Thus, by providing the PSC split information in a more frequently transmitted message, devices can retrieve the PSC split information early on in communications to lower power consumption.

摘要： Mobile user equipment (MUE) can be enabled to search for and camp on a preferred node, such as a home base node (HBN), in a battery-efficient manner even when currently camped on another node, such as a macro base node (MBN). When the MBN provides good channel quality, slow rate background intra- and inter-frequency searches can discover the preferred HBN that would otherwise not be discovered or would consume excessive power with continual searching. When channel quality is fair, slow rate background inter-frequency searches can result in timely switching to the preferred HBN. Location hints that indicate proximity of the preferred HBN can be used to trigger slow rate background searches. Neighboring cell searching of neighbor cell listing (NCL) when in channel quality is fair or poor are maintained to prepare for call reselections to available node.

摘要： In a handover operation an access terminal is handed over from a source access point to a target access point. To facilitate efficient identification of a target access point, a handover operation may be initiated by the target access point. A candidate frequency search also may be invoked to confirm that an access terminal identified by a target access point for a handover is in the vicinity of the target access point. A source access point may verify whether an access terminal is in a vicinity of a target access point to determine whether to perform a handover operation. A source access point may handle potential ambiguity between several target access points by sending handover commands to each of these target access points. An access terminal also may assist in the determination of whether to perform a handover operation.
