摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved method for controlling power of reverse link.SOLUTION: A reverse link signal transmitted in a reverse link transmission power comprises, at least, a traffic channel transmitted in a traffic channel transmission power, and a pilot channel transmitted in a pilot channel transmission power. In a reception system, reception energy of the pilot channel is measured, and a decrease power control command is generated when the reception energy is greater than a reception energy threshold. If the reception energy is less than the reception energy threshold, an increase power control command is generated. The power control commands are transmitted to a system generating the reverse link signal.

SOLUTION: The demultiplexer 402 includes a distribution module that distributes data bits in succession to successive transmitter antennas; and a switching module coupled to the distribution module. The distribution module routes one data bit to each antenna such that no data bit is routed to the same antenna as the previous data bit. The switching module controls the distribution module to skip an antenna once each time a predefined number of data bits has been routed. Alternatively, the switching module may control the distribution module to repeat an antenna once each time a predefined number of data bits has been routed. SOLUTION: In an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication system which uses an external Reed-Solomon encoder 22, an outer interleaver 24 and an inner convolution encoder 26, after inner convolution encoding, data bits are interleaved by an inner bit interleaver 28, and then are grouped into symbols, with each symbol having "m" bits. After grouping, the symbols are mapped to a complex plane by using quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM). Thus, bits, rather than symbols, are interleaved by the inner bit interleaver 28. A receiver performs soft decisions, regarding the value of each bit in each complex QAM symbol received.

SOLUTION: An external decoder and an internal decoder encode a block of information to be transmitted to add redundancy, thereby enhancing protection. The redundancy allows decoding of information from those less than a perfect encode block of information. As a result of this, a receiving station determines a time when a sufficient quantity of data are received to succeed in decoding; and implements other activities such as hard hand off on a broadcast channel, inter-frequency hard hand off and other activities by using a remaining time before the next block of information arrives. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for providing hard handoffs between high-speed cells.SOLUTION: A mobile station transmits a plurality of channels including a pilot channel and at least one information channel. A base station determines the adequacy of the transmission energy of a reverse link signal in accordance with received energy of a reverse link pilot signal. Pilot channel transmission power is retained at a level prior to a frequency search excursion, while increasing the transmission energy of at least one other channel transmitted by the mobile station. In addition, when the mobile station is not capable of increasing the transmission energy of all of the information channels, the mobile station generates a ranking of the importance of the different information channels and selectively increases the transmission power of those channels.

SOLUTION: Transmission is made orthogonally by the use of different Walsh communication amount channels in orthogonal auxiliary pilots and adjacent areas. This invention is expanded so that any necessary number of the pilot Walsh sequence can be generated by substituting each bit in the 64 chips (all 0 P) that depend on the bit value and in the K-bit Walsh sequence that has the sequence (all 1 M).
