    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar simulator capable of measuring the characteristics of a multi-junction type solar battery in a short time and the measuring method of the multi-junction type solar battery using the same.SOLUTION: The measuring method of a multi-junction type solar battery includes the steps of: emitting a flash light from a halogen lamp 13 and performing control to make the peak part of a pulse waveform flat; causing a xenon lamp 14 to emit the flash light of a pulse which has a flat pulse waveform peak part shorter than the flat part of the flash light from the halogen lamp more than once while the peak part of the pulse waveform of the flash light from the halogen lamp is flat; and irradiating the flash light from the halogen lamp and the xenon lamp on the solar battery 20 as a body to be measured and measuring a current and a voltage output from the solar battery at one point or two points or more by controlling a load of the solar battery while the flash light is emitted from the xenon lamp.
